Star Anise

Star Anise is a spice native to northeast Vietnam and southwest China.
The star-shaped fruit is harvested just before ripening and then dried, and has a warm, yet subtle, sweet liquorice flavour, and a strong aroma reminiscent of aniseed.
Our star anise adds wonderful depth to spice mixes, sweet or savoury recipes, and hot beverages. They look so beautiful, too!
